How long have you been an artisan? How did your particular skillset develop over time?

I have been an artisan for most of my adult life; however, it wasn’t until a year ago that I fully got into it. I started out needle felting as a hobby and to make ornaments for my son. I had so much fun doing it that I made it my full-time gig. I self-taught how to do it for the most part and with the help of online videos.

Please describe your work / product.

I needle felt ornament, figurines, and necklaces. Each piece is unique and it’s sure to bring a smile to whoever buys it. My work varies from the quirky to the more traditional. It includes hedgehogs, sloths, succulents, gnomes, and much more. I also do custom work which mostly has consisted of people’s dogs.

Who are some of your favorite artisans / makers in the region? Who amongst your peers inspires your work?

Some of my favorite local artists are: Mealy Monster Land, Stitch Buffalo, and In The Buff Handcrafted Soaps.

My inspiration comes from nature, pop culture, and animals.
