Kate Bundt | The Woof and The Meow

How long have you been an artisan? How did your particular skillset develop over time?

I have been crafting since I was a little girl. I started taking card-making classes about 5 years ago, because it was a good way to unwind each month. I still go to those monthly, but I spend a lot of time playing around in my craft room. I like to work on lots of projects, which is why I don’t have a single specialty. It kind of comes and goes in waves.

Please describe your work / product.

I make lots of different things. I love making cards, because I think that handwritten notes are kind of a dying form of communication. I also have always had an obsession with beads, so I like to play around and try different things. My crocheted necklaces are very unique, and I rarely see other people who make anything similar.

How long have you been a part of Buffalo Women’s Gifts?

This will be my third year at BWG. It’s the one show I look forward to every year. I love the atmosphere, and the camaraderie between all of the women who participate.

Where can people see / purchase your work year-round?

I have an Etsy shop, and I post lots of things on Instagram. Since I’m always trying new things, I have a rotating stock, instead of having just a few staples.

Where else will you be representing your wares this holiday season?

This is my only show this season, but I am always available for custom orders!! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me: thewoofandthemeow5@gmail.com or follow me on Instagram.
